Who’s that hiding round the corner? What’s that moving in the trees? Did you see what I saw? We know a secret, a secret on two legs that wants to be your friend, that wants to spend the day with you. Be part of the biggest adventure that this autumn has to offer!
”Beastie” was inspired by the imagination and tales of children, for example in a workshop at steirischer herbst last year: a unique join-in performance for kids between six and ten. The children share a secret that would astonish anyone. They take the plot into their own hands, develop their own stories, and explore the surroundings with a very special new friend. ”Beastie” is a very playful, exciting experience for small groups of children and a big surprise even for worldly-wise adults.
In this piece for children, that has long been in planning, Lone Twin –
the performance duo Gregg Whelan and Gary Winters – combine their many years of theatre experience with their former work as children’s TV writers. This brings them back to Graz in a very different guise to when the adult audience saw them in the commissioned piece ”Nine Years” at steirischer herbst 2006.
