If art not only has aesthetic reasons, what could these other reasons be? And what relationship does this art have with the world? These are among the questions that the Russian artist group ”Kollektive Aktionen” has been examining for more than three decades by utilising ploys, disinformation, over-identification and misappropriation as artistic strategies. Their virtuoso deceptions and their constant game of perception and reality become apparent in a large installation – between presence and absence, between the expected and the unexpected.
